Dr. Christopher J. Chesney
Dr. Chesney is a veterinary surgeon of many year’s experience. Running his own practice in Exeter, he long ago became interested in skin disease, and decided to become deeply involved in the subject, one of the first to do so. Study and further qualifications followed, and in 1994 he became a Specialist in skin diseases of animals  “Recognised” by the governing body of the profession, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. There are only ten RCVS Dermatology Specialists in Britain.

In 2006 he moved to the village of Sampford Peverell, close to Junction 27 of the M5 Motorway, about 6 miles from Tiverton. He runs regular skin disease clinics for problem cases both there, and in a colleague's pracitce in Cardiff, liasing with referring vets and owners. See About our Clinics You and Your Vet

He believes that "My professional task is to “untangle” the difficult, often long-term cases of skin disease in dogs, cats and horses. By thorough investigation the aim is to make a diagnosis, and progress to treatment. Some skin diseases can be cured, some cases, sadly, are chronic, but even in these, the patient’s comfort can be increased."
